THE LOST COAST

I had no internet and no cell reception for a week.

Following a hair-raising drive over Kings Peak Road this afternoon, I am now in the town of Petrolia, at the Lost Inn, on the Lost Coast of California.

Lost Coast. Lost Coast. Lost Coast...Blackberries EVERYWHERE. .

After settling in, I took the seven-mile drive to the Pacific, took a lone walk, and became entranced with the seaweed on Mattole Beach.

  1. Gorgeous photos, as always, but I am most entranced with the first seaweed picture and the way it is seemingly lit from within. That's exactly how I feel after receiving the Eucharist.

  2. What amazes me about the beauty of the seaweed (and other beautiful "things"of nature) is that God creates so many beautiful things that are never seen unless we are fortunate enough to happen upon them. Thank you for sharing.
