MYSTERY. SMARTS. LAUGHS.
These are beautiful! I love the way you've ordered them, like a dwindling song, from fullness to almost nothing ... I love the natural on the man-made, the beauty in the ordinariness, the lovely compositions that your eye has picked out. Just like your whole life, your "seeing" these in a fresh way has lfted them from ordinariness to loveliness - how consistent you are.I would love to paint something like this; I think I will!
The progression of images, from many leaves to few to one is itself intriguing if perhaps a subconscious effort.
Beautiful post. Brings to mind some words by Thomas Merton:There is in all things an inexhaustible sweetness and purity, a silence that is a fountain of action and joy. It rises up in wordless gentleness and flows out to me from the unseen roots of all created being, welcoming me tenderly, saluting me with indescribable humility. This is at once my own being, my own nature, and the Gift of my Creator's Thought and Art within me, speaking as Hagia Sophia, speaking as my sister, Wisdom. -Thomas Merton,The Collected Poems.
